The physical characteristics of the Feng Shui chime

Widely used in Asia, chimes can be made of wood, bamboo or metal. They come in the form of tubes attached at equal distance and in the form of a circle. Depending on the model, a touch of aestheticism can also be added to the chimes.

The number of tubes is not insignificant. Indeed, with 5 tubes, the chime symbolizes the earth and will call prosperity. With 6 tubes, you will keep away the evil eye. It is the most powerful chime. Finally, with 8 tubes, you will tend to call wealth.

The material also plays an important role in the quality of your Feng Shui chime and in the symbolism of the sounds emitted. Metal for example is associated with the elements. Bamboo will rather refer to nature.

How to use Feng Shui chimes?

The 5-tube chimes are perfect on one of the cardinal points of your house, while the 8-tube chimes will be more appropriate in the wealth sector.

Depending on the material of your chime, some places are also better than others to place them. Bamboo chimes should preferably be placed to the east, southeast and south of your home. Chimes made of metal (brass, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, alloy...) should be installed in the northwest, west or north of your house. Finally, those made of terracotta or glass (rarer) will find their place in the south-west or north-west.

Be careful not to install your Feng Shui chime above a red hanger. This would combine the wrong energies and the effect of your remedy would not be affected.

A chime can be placed in the house, but also outside. It is not uncommon to see it on a terrace, in a veranda, on a patio or even in the garden, hanging from a tree branch. The wind likes to play with the sound tubes of the carillon: let it rock you!

The best place to place a chime is in the entrance. This allows you to make it ring at each passage. It can also be used as a doorbell or even to warn you of an intruder!
